Finished all finished paths in the coffee buns early access version last night and idk if a game has ever affected me in this way before. The amount of gender based gut punches it delivered to me was crazy and i was essentially like this the whole time (positive)

Something deeply deeply interesting about the contrast between totk zelda and ss zelda. Both went through a transition between mortal hylian to immortal diety but from different directions. They did it for the some overall reasons of protecting everyone but their personal connections are so so different. SS zelda was almost burdened by her love for link, feeling so deeply sorry that hylia's plan essentially used link love for her to send him on his quest, almost having it come across like things would have been better/simpler if the two didn't feel they ways they did about each other. But there's also the fact that her life as a mortal then gives her even more of a reason to do what she has to. On the other hand, totk zelda is so driven purely because she wants to somehow help link no matter what. She so desperately wants to protect everyone that she was willing to throw away her mortality, her ability to connect with others, to do so.
