I’ve started reading this book a while ago and put it down after 20 pages because I was so tired after coming back from work but I picked it up again yesterday around 10pm and I couldn’t stop myself from reading it. It’s only when it was 3.30am, I forced myself to stop and told myself I will finish it this evening.

And the stress of their lives—and the way they understand each other so completely—has also also brought them closer than two siblings would ordinarily be. So close, in fact, that they have fallen in love. Their clandestine romance quickly blooms into deep, desperate love. They know their relationship is wrong and cannot possibly continue. And yet, they cannot stop what feels so incredibly right.

I can’t tell you how much this book is great, how much it makes me feel holy shit!! I think I’ve definitely got something for stories related with forbidden love (even in post-apocalyptic worlds *winks at TLOU and Joellie*) 

Books talking about incest is not new to me. When I was younger I was reading fanfics about Tom and Bill (from Tokio Hotel) and even after years I’m still impacted with some of them stories as they were wonderfully developed. 

Back to Forbidden, I can’t imagine not crying at the ending, I have this foreboding it’s not going to end well. I can feel it. It’s already risky where they are. They were already some impactful twists so far. It’s so well written, many many times my heart started to beat faster, each time they got closer (and I love that they get more and more close only bit by bit and sometimes it’s one step forward two steps backward). I also feel really strange when Lochan is having a panic attack, it almost feels like I’m having one. 

Anyway, I give this book 5 out of 5 stars already. And I’m pretty it will overtake Alice Bliss (a book I read in May 2015) in the ranking. 

Beatitude.

I had felt anxious for the past few days until I went to the animal shelter. I only walked two dogs at once (Voren and Urban like usual) and didn’t walk any other dogs because I ended up staying in their yard until closing. At first, Gitane and Biancka weren’t there so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to stay exclusively with Voren and Urban. Then they were all reunited and I spent time with every dog. I didn’t see the time fly by as I was stroking Voren to sleep. Everyone fell asleep and it felt so peaceful, even the other dogs in the big yard weren’t all that noisy.

Serenity.

I must say it was the most amazing afternoon of all time. Voren never wanted so many hugs! And I absolutely did not skimp on those.

As usual, I took a lot of photos and videos so when I came back home in the most relaxed state ever, I wanted to use a Sleeping at Last song for the montage video and guess what I ended stumbling upon? The soundtrack of Many Beautiful Things composed by Sleeping at Last. I didn’t hesitate to buy it. His music is heaven!
