A petite young Chinese woman had recently been accepted into her dream college, Harvard University. She was studying abroad for a few semesters from her home in China. It was her first day on campus, and after getting the obligatory tour, she was off to her dorm room, where she had been organizing a roommate situation with another female on campus. 

The woman, Xianghua or Xian for short, had all of her things packed into a rather large suitcase, and headed up the stairs to the room. From the moment she walked up to the door, she could hear what she thought was the girl she had talked to on the phone about the roommate situation, along with the voice of a male who Xian assumed was her boyfriend. She had heard this tone of voice before. They were arguing. 

“Almost done,” breathed Dana, putting the finishing touches on Bryony’s make-up, making sure her winged eyeliner was perfect. She rubbed the pad of her thumb across her friend’s cheek to spread out some glitter that had collected there before standing back to admire her work. “You’re good, all set for your next walk.”

She leaned back and tried to rub the glitter off her hands, knowing very well that glitter does not fucking go away. Meanwhile, she looked Bryony up and down with a content smile. “You’ll be great up there. Glad you’ve got the top spot for the night.” Dana herself was working the floor for lap dances tonight, but she was more than happy to spend her break helping with make-up instead of in a back room with a handsy guy.
