Killer cafe'
Killer cafe’
It So I totally just walked into one of those undercover coffee cafe’s. ☕️ I walked in, realizing after that all the black glass doors and windows, I just might not belong here. As about 8 men are staring at me I walk up to the counter to order hopefully not my last cup of coffee. At this point, I’ve completely forgotten what I wanted, and on top of that, I have forgotten what I have ever ordered…

Hellooo
Hi there! I'm Cindy J. Lee, Marina del Rey girl ... or perhaps your girl-next-door (Hi neighbor!). I am starting this blog because I am CRAZY in love with Marina del Rey, which I have called my home for the past few years. And when you're THAT passionate about something - you blog about it! You see, I was born a SoCal girl but spent many years all across South Korea. Since then, I've worked in San Francisco and London as a journalist. After getting my degree in journalism on the East Coast, I moved straight back to SoCal. My body and soul knew that THIS is where I wanted to plant my roots ... and as much as I adore traveling ... I was ready to call SoCal my forever-home. I discovered Marina del Rey (MDR) by accident. When I stumbled upon it, I felt like I hit the lottery. It was like a hidden gem. Right by the beach, gorgeous wildlife (seals, exotic + frightening-looking birds), and tucked away so beautifully between Venice and Playa Vista. Besides obvious reasons, another reason I love MDR is the PEOPLE. I have met so many interesting people here, whom I will slowly introduce to you. If you live here or you're a visitor of MDR, perhaps you will meet some of the people I spotlight . You may see them jogging around the marina, walking their dog, or grabbing brunch at Killer Cafe. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I want to share my MDR experience with you - from an insider's point of view. Remember, there's no right or wrong ... I am simply sharing. I am just a girl ... who happens to love her hood. Stay beachy. -MDRgirl
