Apologize to the phonyarinpa | Holden & Akane
Akane Kurashiki was a woman of science and of the occult, a paragon of virtue and at the same time the epitome of inhumanness -- she was a paradox, and she adored contradictions. Her intial plan was to gain allies in Hive City, but when she spotted a man -- or boy? -- that struck her as antithetic she had to approach him. He was tall and slender, and might be of age judging by the cigarette stuck between his top- and bottom lip. At the same time, the stranger had something childish to themselves, something that caught her attention with the way it didn't fit into the usual image of a man. It took her less than a minute to come by the bench he was seated on, and almost as though she lacked a sense of tact, Akane took a seat next to him. She didn't want to make herself look like a fool, but it might as well be too late already. Whatever. He was an interesting individual, so she couldn't blame herself. "Excuse me, Sir," Akane addressed the stranger, granting him one of the smiles she conjured so easily. She needed to come up with something to talk about, preferably quickly.
"How long have you been a participant of this experiment, if I may ask?"
