ding dong. greeting already primed and ready, the young werewolf waits patiently for the addams family’s grand front door to open. expecting to be met with the smiling faces of either gomez or morticia, eddie is genuinely surprised when it appears to be neither of the two, but a young, dark haired boy seeming to be around his age, ‘ oh! you must be pugsley! ’ ears twitch with curiosity and general interest as eddie offers the other his hand to shake, ‘ i’m eddie. i live next door. ’
“I’ll get it!” Pugsley vociferated at the top of his lungs, flinging himself down the stairs the moment the bell rang, happily abandoning his homework currently spread on the dining room table, overseen by both Grandmama who served the sole purpose of shaking her head and telling him how he would make a fine potioneer if only he’d apply himself, and his father, who had at last thrown up his hands, cigar and all, and said that if he couldn’t be bothered to do algebra he’d never survive advanced chemistry and that had Pugsley’s interest piqued. At least until he heard the bell ring.
Skidding past Bruno the bearksin rug and heaving the massive door open, Pugsley found himself looking down to the figure of a shorter lad about his own age, with round brown eyes and an eager aspect about him, and most important of all, decidedly pointed ears that Pugsley couldn’t keep his eyes off of. A grin stretching his lips, he stuck out a hand for the smaller boy’s and pumped it jovially, exclaiming, “Of course! Eddie, pleased to meet you! Will you come in? Don’t mind the Rug, he only bites newcomers he doesn’t like, and he’s sure to like you. I’m Pugsley, oldest Addams boy. I have a brother and a sister, when did you move in?”
