Recently discovered 50 yr old diary of a London kid in the 60’s Monday 29th January 1968

Tanks didn’t go on his paper round because he had football practice, so I did it.

Some of my mates and me have been going round the school playground and picking pockets (and giving the stuff back of course).

I’m getting quite good on the harmonica, if I say so myself. I practice every night on it.

Saturday 17th January 1968

This morning Chris and Tanks woke me up when they came to knock for me. They played football while I had my breakfast and that. Then we all went to Woking.

Tanks wanted to get a blue tie for Morris’s 21st birthday (he’s a friend of their family).
