While the official reporting name was 'Oscar', this IJA aircraft was also referred to as the 'Army Zero'. It bared a striking, if not frustrating, resemblance to the more famous Japanese fighter. Allied pilots would happily boast that they'd shot down a Zero, only to be robbed of their bragging rights by a plane that spent the majority of the war as a stubborn underdog.
