Take Me to Church by Hozier / Camila/Lionel

This song has always reminded me of Camila with Lionel. They were in a very toxic relationship. I don’t look at the meaning of the song for this, it’s more of what the words say.  Camila kind of worshiped Lionel, she did everything he told her to. She thought that he could perhaps help her become better.

Django Jane by Janelle Monae /  Khwezi

This song really fits her because she’s been around for a very long time, since before slavery became a thing in the USA. She’s seen around to see all the horrible things women have gone through just to have their voices heard.  

Make Me Feel by Janelle Monae /  Camila/Mars

This song really fits these two. Mars makes Camila feel alive (even though she’s a vampire.) Before Mars came into her life Camila’s life was very monotone and unfulfilling, but when Mars came it was like there was color in her life again.

Mr. Brightside by The Killers / Mars

This fits Mars the best mostly because he is going out of his comfort zone. 

Domino by Jessie J / Amaya/Khwezi

Amaya is the first person in a very long time that makes Khwezi feel like how the song sound. The rhythm of the song is essentially how Khwezi feels when she sees Amaya.

Camila has very bad depression, it’s always there even when she’s doing well. She used to feel so alone but then she realized that there were other who dealt with depression like she did.  “And I will say that we should take a moment and hold it. And keep it frozen and know that life has a hopeful undertone” these lyrics are a big part of Camila’s philosophy.
