They’re having a great time dancing!

I totally didn’t forget that I had an image of these two dancing.

*insert clever skating pun here* Have skater boy Roxas! I’m not entirely happy with how I positioned the hands on this one but wanted to share it anyway.

So I normally tell this story a little more comically but the first time I ever played kingdom hearts was on my playstation 2 about eleven years ago when I was in middle school. A classmate noticed my Naruto manga sticking out of my backpack and asked if I liked anime and video games. When I told them yes they got excited and started telling me about Final Fantasy and Kingdom hearts. It was great except I had no idea what Kingdom Hearts was at the time. They were shocked and then asked their mom to drop off the game at school and let me borrow it. I gotta admit I was skeptical of the game because how the heck does final fantasy, disney, and anime OCs work all together? Figured at the time it would be a good laugh. So once at home I popped in the disk, told my sister about it and that’s when my adventure with this series started. 

The interesting thing is I never really played this game alone. Like I stated above, I told my sister about this game and we played together (as in I played while she watched and shouted for me to heal myself because I didn’t know you could set donald to focus on healing). When the two of us had fun with this game we told our cousins. One of my fondest memories with this game was piling on the couch with my sister and some of our cousins. They weren’t all into anime or final fantasy but each of us grew up watching disney and that’s what interested them in this game back then. I remember sitting at the center, while my sister stood behind the couch to avoid the rough housing and shouting anytime I was doing well. I remember someone constantly shaking my shoulder and telling me to “LOOK OUT YOUR HEALTH IS IN THE RED!” I remember two of my cousins shoving each other because one was making sure i had a good time while the other was constantly trying to steal the controller because “no you’re doing it wrong. Let me- GET OUT OF THE WAY!”  In a childhood that wasn’t always happy. That wasn’t always the best. Kingdom Hearts was one of the things that will always leave me with happy memories.

He’s done! After crashing my damn program a million times he’s finally done! The model is based off a scene from @apiegohome fic The Fine Print. It was recently finished and honestly one of my favorite parts was when Vanitas was cosplaying as himself.
