"A staff suits you, Nhona," said X'rhun, "or dare I say Khiri?" X'rhun's voice was laced with a hint of regret, the cold sneer enough to pull her out of her meditation. "That staff befits your hand almost as much as it does your mother's." Khiri looked over her shoulder and found X'rhun leaning against one of Apkallu Falls' many lanterns, his trusted rapier hanging loosely from his hip. "I have no mother," she replied, the words brisk, mirroring the cold of X'rhun's greeting. "Is that so?" X'rhun mumbled through the faintest of grins. "Yet here you stand on Eorzean soil, wielding the name she had intended for you to reclaim all this time."
