The final update for War in the Shade came out on Patreon today and I had to celebrate!! I read and enjoy a lot of webcomics, but WiTS is very personal. I made a lot of friends through the discord server and getting to see two victims of abuse heal together was extremely cathartic for me. Hi all It's been a very hot minute but I've finally finished Chapter 4 of my webcomic Khimaer! I think it's partially because I worked on them a lot during plane rides, one of which I just had... and for the past year I didn't do much flying at all ajhdgh

Self-indulgent Khimaer AU Wren! Left is human (eyes are black, based on chroma), middle is khimaera, and right is Aphelion, their espira. Who I may make into an independent character.
They'd have Black Vitality chroma. They can amplify or repress the energy of living beings - which can affect healing speed, alertness, etc. If they drain all your vitality, it's like a slow descent into sleep. Of death.
Started reading War in the Shade and immediately decided that I had to draw the good good sword boy Khimaera.

Wanted to try making a walk cycle for Eirien! I’ve never done one before and I quite like how it turned out.
Tried the #artstylebend thing that I've seen floating around! Basically, I try to draw something with the most iconic traits of my style reversed.
There were some things about me tending to use cool/monochromatic tones/muted colors, lineless... Things I've noticed myself is that I like to make things flow and glow, and I go for a semirealistic rendering.
In any case, I really enjoyed doing this! I might actually play with this opposite style sometime, it's very fun.
