“I’m fairly certain Webby left on another scouting mission.”
“Do ‘scouting missions’ usually include crawling down chimneys?” the Replica asked.
“Yep!” said a voice from the fireplace, making the Replica jump. And then, skittering like a spider came that same duck girl from earlier, wearing some funky goggles, a small pink bow in her hair, and a layer of soot coating her sweater vest, shirt, and skirt.
Okay then. This was happening.
“Oh, Webbigail. You’re just in time,” said Beakley, offering her a clean cloth. “Do say hello to our guests—”
“Riku Replica and Naminé? Former pawns of the Organization turned wayward runaways?”
“I…” Geez. How did this kid know?
As if reading his mind, Webby pulled out a red, glittery notebook. “I kept notes. And… might’ve followed you from the shadows. Annnd maybe did a teensy bit of eavesdropping when Kairi was here.”
So the 2017-ification of the chapters w/ Ducktales characters has led to some additional lil’ things. Like Webby existing now. Also Beakley instead of Duckworth.
Overall plot won’t change in the Hollow Bastion Repliku arc, but so far this has been fun to write. x) And of course I will archive the old versions, too.
Still new to these characters but it is an interesting exercise all the same.
