A Talonflame descended at writing speeds in front of Caitlyn. The proud looking bird had a message tired around it's talon, which he offered to the girl. Upon the envelope were two names: Caitlyn in big letters and Geoff off in the corner.
Caitlyn saw the descending bird out of the corner of her eye, but refrained from giving it even a glance until the text she'd been composing was sent.
"You better not be one of Zael's," she sighed, putting the phone away and giving the letter an uninterested look before reaching to remove it. "Only one job at a time if it's in Kalos, I've told him a million times..." She trailed off, catching the scrawled name in the corner.
Geoff? She hadn't heard from him in... Arceus, ages. Before she'd left Kalos, right? Couldn't he just text her? She couldn't remember if she'd left him her new number. "Wouldn't have taken you for a carrier Pidgey," she murmured, the teasing tone dulled by the slight shock and genuine curiosity as she tore open the envelope.
