SANTA MARIA, Calif. – The Santa Maria Valley Humane Society is working to clear the shelter.
Starting Wednesday, the organization is waiving the adoption fee on every animal.
The goal is to place all of the adoptable animals as part of its “Home for the Holidays” event.
Currently, there are about 30 cats and 20 dogs in their care.
