here is the lineart cause im really proud of it anyways! this is kinda cringe I don't usually ever write AUs in this kind so this is gonna be really cliche (IM SORRY)

You (mc) were from a family of top secret cyber criminals but as you grew up, you wanted to disassociate from that and make your own life. When you ran away, you decided you wanted to expose your family for their crimes. While writing your hit piece however, you still have to support yourself so you get a job at a nearby restaurant. Mac is sent as a spy to track you down by your family as they are really good at getting info and etc. After finding where you went to, they would purposely each week at a certain day position themselves at a crossing near your workplace and you seeing Mac and the kind-hearted soul you are, want to make sure they cross safely. Through this they get a chance to talk to you and gather more info on you.

While spying, Mac falls obsessively in love with you (what a surprise lol) and at some point they know there will be a day they need to pick between you, and their job. 3 endings (im still editing this sorry this is cringe) The worse ending is rejecting Mac and they go kinda insane and pull a yandere and frame you for their death. (THIS IS CRINGE IM SORRY I MIGHT CHANGE IT 😭) This ending was inspired by Goodnight Socialite by The Brobecks with the line "If I can't have you. Then no one can."

Other ending is there aren't fully sane and kidnap you back to your family as intended but insist on keeping you safe and you two are just stuck there forever. Best ending is Mac betrays your family and you two run away and live a life trying to escape your family's attempts to track you down :D lol idk

i was generally just inspired to create this AU mainly to create a piece like this. I don't usually write AUs like this like ever so idk man anyways

the cuffs of lights and the choker is meant to be like cuffs, like how sometimes you cuff an animal or bird; usually to track them. also to be like cuffs holding mac down? in some way¿ also the missing wing is obviously to try and keep the essence of mac but also in references to birds being clipped and preventing them from going far or flying away and stuff. general inspo is the whole angel thing is tying them down. fallen angels are also said to lose their wings so I was inspired to do the in between!! also the vines is from inspo of the crown of thorns jesus wears when being crucified. aLLLSO I wanna do a demon/devil mac ver too errrr idk when
