āGrivkā is a Kervanian word that loosely translates into english as āuniverseā. āUniverseā, however, is actually a much broader term than āGrivkā.
The āUniverseā is commonly defined as the totality of existence, and whether or not this extends to āUniversesā separate from the one in which we exist is a subject of debate, as isĀ the existence of other āUniversesā. To Kervanians, on the other hand, other āUniversesā play an integral role in their society, mainly as a means of quick transportation(the 1st through 4th Grivks), or storage(The 5th Grivk).
When Kervanians and humans first came into contact in 2011 AD, the words āGrivkā and āUniverseā were considered to mean the same thing, but when the two societies began to merge around 234 PP(Post-Portal), it became commonly accepted that the word āGrivkā referred to individual realms of existence, and that āUniverseā referred to all realms of existence as a whole(Example statement: āIn the entire Universe, there are roughly a thousand Grivks that can theoretically be safely visited.ā)
