“You fainted…straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
There is something about this one that screams Canach to me 😏 (but if you feel like it fits another pairing better, go wild!)
Oh no, I 100% agree, that is a very Canach line :D (And this isn't a very long piece, sorry, but it's what my brain spawned into existence, so enjoy, I hope! :) ) Takes place at the very end of PoF.
Kerra, trained from almost the moment she awakened in combat, who has run through jungles and across pools of lava and glided through lightning storms, really doesn’t trip very often.
The party in Amnoon, where she’s dancing on the stage and just slightly tipsy, appears to be an exception to the rule.
Her feet slip on something and she falls off the edge, but the fall is even shorter than she’d anticipated—caught by someone strong and sure, who says in a familiar voice, “It seems the great Pact Commander has fainted.”
“Fainted?” Kerra splutters. “Is that what I did?”
“Straight into my arms,” Canach says, smirking as Kerra’s splutters turn to laughter. “You know, if you wanted my attention, you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
Kerra loops her own arms around Canach’s neck, leans up just a little, and puts all the cocky certainty she can into her voice as she grins. “I know.”
There’s a flicker of relief, one that hasn’t left since Skimshallow Cove, that accompanies his affectionate joy as he leans down to kiss her.

did no one ask for kerra yet? 6, 10, 14, and 22 from the nsfw asks for the beautiful commander
No one has; you are the first! :D (And thank you!! :) )
Kerra answers under the cut <3
6. Any place they absolutely would not have sex?
Hmmm...assuming that the question implies that the obstacle is specifically the physical location and not anyone who may or may not be present there: the Domain of the Lost [not somewhere she ever wants to be again], some parts of Nayos [too many random eyeballs], the Scrying Pool part of the Eye of the North [multiple reasons, but the rest of the place isn't off limits], and, despite the name making this sound ironic, Joko's Bone Palace [just vehemently hates the guy whose "house" it is].
10. Are they down for casual one-night stands?
Not really her thing, even before she was in a relationship with her partners. She's demisexual and has no desire for them with strangers, and it's never come up for her with friends before.
(If it had come up with a close friend before her feelings for Nisha and Canach entered the picture, I could maybe see her accepting, but I don't think she would be able to do completely casual sex without romantic feelings getting tangled in there, too. So it would have to be a pretty young Kerra who wasn't self-aware enough to know that about herself yet, and it would have gotten complicated fast.)
14. If they send nudes, are they tasteful or just quick pics?
This question is again making me wonder if sending nudes is a thing that people do by mail in Tyria or if there's a digital way to do it...anyways, not the point lol.
I don't think that a version of Kerra in our world would send digital nudes much, if at all. She'd be too concerned about someone besides her partners getting a hold of them, because she knows that she is a public figure and people get weird with that sometimes. However, I am declaring that she doesn't need to worry about that in Tyria due to having a way to send them securely--and that she does both tasteful pics and quick ones depending on how much time she has when they're sent!
22. Favorite thing/part about sex—intimacy, role-playing, etc.
Intimacy, for sure, hands down. I could throw a bunch of words out about it, but...yeah, she really really enjoys the physical closeness and trust there.
Also, random fun facts that popped up in my mind while I was answering these:
Skimshallow Cove is actually not one of Kerra's off-limits places, interestingly enough.
I don't think I'm ever going to write this AU out, but the scenario that I mentioned in my answer to #10 I think could only happen with Kerra and Cio post-Claw-Island (so right after Cio losing Sieran and while Kerra's also grieving for Tybalt, though he wasn't her romantic partner), which...yeah holy fuck would that be a mess. Compels me to think about, but oof.
My brain is still trying to work through details on it, so I won't go into specifics, but Kerra, Nisha, and Canach absolutely do roleplay. For sure.
Biological parents, close family/siblings, and/or estranged relatives for anyone! @montgumery
Hi hi!! Okay, sure sure, let's go! :) I'll do two people per question because why not.
🎲 - Biological parents
Ari - Clement Forktail (canonical to one option in the charr PS, but since Ari doesn't actually go through the personal story precisely, she never meets him; eventually does meet him sometime during Icebrood when he's working with Efram's Flame group) and Kostya Keenshot (where Ari gets most of her looks from; not a member of Ash like Ari was but Iron instead; tried her best to stay in touch with Ari before going AWOL under mysterious circumstances a few years after Ari entered the fahrar; Ari had enough of a relationship to her to miss her and occasionally wonders where she went)
Minei - Lynden Sterre and Najwa Jelani (both Shining Blade agents. Lynden's family has historically been in Kryta for generations while Najwa's parents were first-generation immigrants. Lynden grew up in Ebonhawke while Najwa grew up near Fort Salma. They were killed when Minei was four by the White Mantle, who they were investigating. They'd also been leaning towards finding a way to leave the Shining Blade--Minei was getting older and they were starting to worry about many different things. This likely had some sort of impact on the "brushing under the rug" that happened with their deaths (as well as with tiny!Minei's subsequent grieving necromantic explosion that destroyed their home afterwards).)
The other ones are under the cut so this doesn't get too long!
📎 - Siblings/close family
Kerra - She does, to some extent, do the sylvari thing of referring to sylvari strangers as "siblings", but in terms of people she'd consider siblings in a more "standard" (I don't know how else to put it) sense: Caithe (loves her as a sister and pretty much always has, even when they weren't on the best terms), Trahearne (her brother who is both definitely different and very similar to her, which culminates in both of them being more than willing to die for each other during HoT), and, interestingly enough, kind of Ceara/Scarlet Briar (who would not really feel the same about her, probably, but Kerra worked very hard to figure out what was going on with her and managed to empathize with her along the way while also still very much considering her an enemy/adversary)
Nisha - Xe's one of two children of xyr Mother tree, and the other one is xyr podtwin Rel. Due to their specific situation, they have never been connected to the same Dream as Kerra/the Pale Tree sylvari. Also notably, their Mother sacrificed herself in an attempt to basically turn their Dream into a shield/stopgap against Mordremoth being able to connect to either of them. It wasn't perfect, but definitely did something; they have more protection than Soundless sylvari. However, they also lack the ability to connect to each other's (or anyone else's) emotions like the Soundless do.
❓ - Estranged family/relatives they've never met
Aysel - Does it count as an "estranged" family member if they got so estranged that they're now currently dead at her hand? Aysel fully killed her uncle Edur for what he did to her cousin Colin (and the way he treated them both for years), and he absolutely deserved it. Also, Aysel's met her parents, but she currently thinks they're both dead, and they currently believe that she is.
Eethie - Their parents are very much alive (currently, at least) and very much estranged. Eethie's poor relationship with their parents--a lot of pressure and simultaneous active neglect--is a huge part of the reason they felt like the Inquest would be a better bet for them. Thankfully, they've had little reason to exist in the same place as their parents for years now, and if they had their way they would never see them again.
And I'd love to read more about Kerra & Nisha too if you feel inspired ! 🧸🌹💍
Oh sure sure sure!! :D <3 <3 I am happy to talk about them!!
Rel
🧸 - Childhood friends
Rel's sylvari, so it's of course not precisely "childhood", but I'll use this spot for his friends he had in Maguuma "growing up" before he and Nisha left the jungle and met Pliarr.
His friends then were all amongst the group of Itzel who found his Mother when she was a seed and took care of her. He was closest to Livi, the son of the group's leader and Rel's best friend, and Tamahl, the most talented musician amongst them and the reason Rel knows how to play the lute as well as he does.
Bonus tidbit: it was a little more difficult than one might think for Rel to make close friends at this time--not because of a lack of charisma on his part, but more because there were some Itzel who looked at him and Nisha as beings similar to them and that's all, some who looked at them with fascination, and some who looked at them with concern. This is mainly because those Itzel who knew him, Nisha, and their Mother also knew of their connection to Mordremoth.
🏆 - Best friends (past, current or future)
Past: Livi (bonus facts: artist, diplomat, a little bit too optimistic to the point that he has blinders on about negative possibilities)
Current (he has a decent amount of close friends, but to put just some of them):
Kerra (met her in between level 10 and level 20 personal story bits when she intimidated a few NMC folks into letting him go; they became ride-or-die for each other very quickly and this has not changed one bit in the years since; sometimes they'll play/perform music together; he's the reason Kerra learned to play the flute)
Sayeh al'Rajihd (met during the late personal story; she respects him a great deal as he does her, and he is one of the few people she will gladly fight alongside; they don't keep that closely in touch, but if Sayeh were to make a "best friends" list and take it seriously, she'd put Rel on it)
Aysel (met her when working with the Pact as a medic; she's served as a sort of bodyguard/escort for him before, which developed into them being friends)
Jiare (asura, one of the other Pact medics and an expert in Elder Dragon corruption; efficient to a fault; very aware that their bedside manner isn't always the best and is very glad to work with Rel who is generally much better at that than they are)
Bonus: Gorrik--they're not best friends, but they are friends, and both of them share a love of roller beetles!
(Everything else under the cut just so it doesn't get too long!)
🌹 - First relationship
A very short one with Harzi, another one of the Itzel! They weren't at all bad together and ended on good terms; they just both realized it wasn't something they wanted to pursue on a long-term basis.
💢 - Person they can't stand
I'll give you more than one!
Ceera - This isn't so much an irritated or angry "I can't stand you" situation. However, it's very much a chilly "we can be coworkers and that's it" situation. They would have been good friends, probably, but after Ceera comes to hate Kerra in the wake of her grief over losing Tonn, she definitely makes a comment or two to Rel. And Kerra is Rel's closest friend--and he understands grief, but he can't stand hearing someone insult her when he knows what she's been through. So the two of them, I imagine, have one very angry conversation, and they then proceed to interact as minimally as they can while still doing their jobs.
The Pale Tree - Rel's deeply frustrated with the Pale Tree for choosing to keep her origins secret from her children. It's on behalf of the people he cares about who felt betrayed by the whole thing, but it's also from a sense of him wishing there could have been more preparedness before the assault on Maguuma. There's a part of him that realizes that his blame of her is also him blaming himself--if he'd realized Kerra, Trahearne, and the others didn't know their origins, he would have told them. But he's reluctant to acknowledge that part and thus puts a lot of that emotion solely on the Tree.
Mordremoth - Less a person he can't stand and more a person he hates, for understandable reasons. The dragon is a big part of the reason his Mother is dead, why his friends and loved ones sustained assorted injuries and nearly died, and why he nearly died himself.
Steward Gixx - This one's more irritation than the others, so probably more fitting to the original idea of this question, haha! Gixx has made enough wayward derogatory comments about sylvari either in Rel's presence or to him specifically that Rel is solidly not a fan of the guy.
Ellen Kiel - Gets on his nerves. Just kind of in general. I'm sure there are more details to it than that but the short version is that she bugs him, lol.
Kerra
🧸 - Childhood friends
I am realizing that if I use the same timeframe for Kerra's "childhood" that I'm going to for Rel and Nisha (the first couple years of their lives), then it encompasses the entirety of the personal story and (I think) all of LWS1 too. So let's dial it back to early-personal-story (levels 0-30) friends/acquaintances because I haven't talked about that much in a while, I don't think!
Mender Serimon - He was there when Kerra awoke from the Dream and is the first sylvari she ever meets in the physical world of Tyria. He remembers her and looks out for her every time she returns to the Grove.
Aife - Kerra's luminary (Cycle of Dawn). She did her best to teach Kerra how to control her empathic abilities, even though they weren't quite what Aife was used to dealing with, and it was vitally important for Kerra down the line. They trust each other, and Aife feels to some extent protective of sapling!Kerra. They practice archery together sometimes, too, at least before Kerra leaves to join the Order of Whispers.
Caithe - Kerra's sister who she loves. She's never been afraid to question Caithe or to express a different opinion, even as a sapling, but Caithe nonetheless has her complete trust at this point. That's her sister.
Tiachren - Kerra's first brush with her destined Dream things--here, the Shield of the Moon. She would have wanted to help him anyway, though; he was very earnest in his desire to save the person he loved, and he was young, like her, and trying his best. She chose to go protect Astorea, and he went to try to save Ysvelta, and his death (at her hand, no less) was the start of the immense guilt and self-blame she struggles with for years after this point.
Rel - Meets him at around level 15, so he fits in this timeframe as a "childhood" friend, haha! I've talked about them a little already, but for another fun fact, Kerra goes through a period where she's very afraid to lose him and has nightmares where he dies in Tiachren's place. This eases somewhat the more combat they face together.
Elli - Befriends her during the level 30 personal story quest to get Caladbolg back! They become much closer after the Pact is formed and they spend more time together, but they're friendly at this point and get along well.
Felix - Kerra's jungle stalker and one of her lifelong best friends. Her first ranger companion. She loves him and he adores her (enough so that she and Felix figure out the soulbeast bond during HoT without ever being told that that's a thing people can do).
Nisha
🧸 - Childhood friends
Nisha didn't have really any close "childhood" friends in Maguuma. The closest friend xe had would have been Cotili, one of the hunters among the Itzel who xe worked with on a regular basis, but they were far closer to coworkers than anything else. Nisha was very focused on making sure xyr Mother knew that xe could survive, and that she didn't have to worry, and therefore focused on whatever training xe possibly could to prove that point.
Xe's first true friend would be Cio, who made an effort to reach out to the in-a-very-bad-headspace Nisha after xyr brother left the Priory, and then, later, xe befriended Sieran as well. Sieran's personality was a little jarring to Nisha at first, but xe comes to really appreciate it. (Fun and painful fact that I remembered when playing on Nisha the other day: years after this, and long after Sieran's death at Claw Island, when Nisha builds xyr first jade mech, xe names it Cherry in Sieran's honor.)
For the last two, Kerra and Nisha's answers are very related, so I'm putting these together:
🌹 - First relationship
Kerra and Nisha's first romantic relationship is the one they have with each other and Canach!
For a bit more context on firsts for this question, because why not: Kerra's had romantic crushes before, but has had zero relationship experience or physical experience before this. Nisha's been physically attracted to people before this point, and has some physical experience, but zero relationship experience. Also, Kerra and Canach are the first--and only--two people xe's ever felt romantically attracted to.
💍 - Partners (current or future)
The trio again :) (Kerra, Nisha, Canach)
I've gotten to this point and my brain is tired and I have absolutely no idea what fun facts to share about them, so if you have anything specific you'd like to know, then please do tell me because I'd love to tell you more!
The one thing that my brain is generating is that very early on in their relationship, which is in Maguuma after Mordremoth's death and the end of HoT, there are probably a few times where they're playing out that one meme but it goes like: "ah yes. me (Canach), my partner Nisha, my other partner Kerra, and Kerra's 96-kg jungle stalker" xD
I reblogged a post just now that made me think about this, so I'm making my own post about it: Kerra is very much "this isn't destined, I love you on purpose" about her relationship with Nisha and Canach.
And the thing is, that might not be true. She's not certain what her destiny there was supposed to be, if there even was one. She remembers the shock, in Maguuma, of seeing Canach holding a Shield of the Moon (like her Dream, like Tiachren), of hearing Nisha shout, "We are not afraid! We will never kneel!" (like Trahearne, in a speech her Mother showed her--a speech he never gave). Maybe that means things were planned or foretold or something like that. It's not enough for a conclusion, but it's enough to make one wonder.
But where that might give someone else comfort, it deeply bothers Kerra. She'd love them either way, but she's had her fill of Wyld Hunts and destiny and this is what you must do.
So it's a choice, because she chooses for it to be one.

4. What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?
I can't think of any hobbies Kerra's had that she's given up entirely, but singing is a hobby for her. During her travels with Rel (in the personal story era), she practiced pretty regularly, then fell off of doing so when other things took precedence during LWS1 and onward. She misses it enough that she makes an effort to sing more often both during LWS3 (to baby Aurene) and post-EoD.
8. How loose is their use of the phrase ‘I love you’?
It gets looser as Kerra gets older, funnily enough. Sapling!Kerra (in the early personal story) thinks her feelings are more self-evident than they are. Once she figures out they're not, she's already gotten in the habit of not saying it so much. Being mentored by Caithe (who I can't imagine is good at expressing that emotion at that point in time, either) didn't really help.
She gets more comfortable with saying it towards the end of LWS1 and afterwards, and nowadays will regularly use it as a goodbye to friends and family.
25. What subject / topic do they know a lot about that’s completely useless to the direct plot?
Kerra learned a lot about the ocean prior to EoD, first out of a desire to be prepared for facing a possible ocean Elder Dragon and then out of genuine curiosity. Most of that information didn't end up being useful to the plot, but she hasn't forgotten it and could (for example) probably give an hours-long speech on the tides and wildlife near the Caledon coast if you asked her to.
45. What’s something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately?
When people don't solidly nail the corners down on those Pact tents. It's not enough for the tents to be unstable, but she can't stand it.
For the character relations, 15, 23, and 26 for Kerra and Cioffi? :3
@mystery-salad
Yes, absolutely! :D :)
15. Do they trust each other? Why or why not?
Yes, they do trust each other!
To answer why, I'm technically also answering the "how did they meet" question, but the first time they met each other was as members of two different Orders looking into Zhaitan's undead scouts prior to Claw Island. Neither Cio nor Kerra was inclined to mistrust the other solely based on Order--Cio's brother Pliarr is with the Order of Whispers like Kerra, and Kerra was still pretty new to her Order (and didn't choose it due to a dislike of the Priory or the Vigil). They both lost someone at Claw Island, but Kerra helped get the remainder of their team to safety and then vowed to come back, retake the island, and kill Blightghast. And (thanks to Cio's help, along with Nisha and Minei and the other Whispers/Vigil/Priory members) they did, in fact, do that.
They continued to work together closely as the Pact came together and formed a friendship/trust that way. They're not each other's best friend, but they're close enough that Kerra trusts Cio to watch her child and that Cio trusts Kerra to have her back against almost anyone. They've never really had anything break their trust earned from Claw Island.
23. Do they have any mutual friends? Mutual enemies?
Yes for sure!
Some mutual friends: Pliarr (Cio's brother, a Whispers agent who's worked with Kerra on more than one occasion), Nisha (one of Cio's best friends, one of Kerra's partners), Rel (a close friend to them both), Minei (also on Claw Island with them), Tanza (someone Cio takes under her wing, so to speak, and who ends up working alongside Kerra as well), Ari (a Pact airship pilot who Kerra knows as a coworker and then works more closely with/befriends during HoT when Ari and Cio survive the fleet crash together; also now Cio's partner), Taimi (ends up seeing Cio as an additional mentor, part of Dragon's Watch and close with Kerra)
Some mutual enemies: besides the (antagonistic) Elder Dragons (particularly Zhaitan would qualify here as a mutual enemy), I think funnily enough maybe the biggest one is Phlunt. Neither of them can stand the guy.
26. How would these characters react to being stuck in a small room with each other?
Assuming they're legitimately trapped somehow, they'd react by talking amiably while figuring out a way to break out--not because they mind being together, but because you don't put these two in a room without them problem-solving somehow, lol. If they're not trapped and they're just in a small room together, then yeah, probably talking about anything from dragon magic to their day-to-day lives to their families/partners to potential upgrades Cio could give Kerra's wrist bracers.
Kerra facts coming right up! <3 I'll give you a few of them since you said facts, plural:
She (especially after the personal story and everything with Zhaitan and the Risen) can't stand swamps; they're her least favorite natural space to be in.
She occasionally hums tunes to herself (especially when doing paperwork), which can vary wildly from things she heard in Caledon/the Grove to sea shanties from Lion's Arch to one part of a Metal Legion song she got stuck in her head to things she made up on her own.
She once, early in the personal story, was very tired, picked up her sword to sharpen it, and somehow managed to throw it a few feet so that it stuck into the ground hilt-up. She left it there the rest of the night and did the sharpening in the morning.
