i did hear about this. i wish i could stop hearing about this. the tl;dr of my thoughts on this pitch: it fucking sucked.

ive written out more in-depth thoughts here, a little here, plus got a cap of her saying some egregious bullshit (in my opinion) on twitter here. overall though my thoughts are "jesus fucking CHRIST this pitch was written by a white woman with christian religious trauma who doesn't know how to write about anyone other than herself". the red hair streak was literally just how she had her own hair.

it's also really unfortunate because people now act like she invented the idea of kon being transfem and that any transfem kon ideas must have been inspired by her. christianizing the superfam, pulling weird dna-makes-family shit with a random new "luthor-dominant" "brother" for kon, and nuking his relationship with the superfam to make him """"the jason todd of the superfamily"""" are all just. sorry. this is all just a steaming crock of horseshit. i'd rather not have a canon trans character if it comes at the cost of literally everything else about that character.

Prefacing this by saying something that many readers will not like but I am primarily familiar with these two via XFI. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you can kill me with rocks now. That being said:

I like them in theory because again I haven't read X-Force, I like them as part of a dynamic because my understanding is you do Not separate these two.

omg this is massive i thought that was going to be people's least favorite part because it was pre-canon but it was actually the first concept i came up with for that fic!! i was like okay we GOTTA have a baby's first sleepover meltdown moment. they mean so much to me <3 i love siblings, i love genfic, i love when my sibling fics are memorable to people.
