yayyyyyy thank you i love love love talking about him thank you so much for the opportunity. first of all, here is the link to the ask game if anyone else wants to spread it around.

so, without further ado:

obviously my opinion on shinjiro is i love him. i love posting about him, meta character analysis or fanfic ideas or (most commonly) hornyposting.

my favorite canon thing about him is that he likes dogs. he comes off as this scary, badass dude and knowing that he cooks meals for koromaru and spoils him rotten really shatters that facade of his and idk there's just something about it being proven that he's actually really nice and pretends to be mean and scary so people won't miss him when he dies is just... *chef's kiss*

my least favorite canon thing about him is that he dies :/

i think it's pretty obvious what my favorite headcanon of him is. he loves eating pussy and is really good at it too.

my least favorite headcanon is the seemingly common assumption that shinjiro always doms kotone. i think they switch. they fight together, so he's used to following her orders, and that could easily transfer over into the bedroom.

obviously i don't ascribe to the hc that he always doms. admittedly i don't read much fanfic anymore, my main contribution to the fandom is my own fanfic and my silly little posts oh yeah translating p3wm too, so maybe it's possible that that has changed. i mostly read foolmoon fanfic like 10 years ago lol.

anyway, i just think that kotone could wrestle him down and wrest that control from him and honestly i don't think he would resist that much. he might make a big show of it, complaining and dragging his feet, but no way would he ever stop her. he's hopelessly, pathetically in love with her. he would do anything she wants, anything she says. he's hers, wholly and completely.

finally, three headcanons i have about him

1) listens to punk music

2) makes his bed every morning

3) hums while he cooks :)

i'm sure there are more headcanons i have of him but it's hard to sift through my mind and find things that are suggested by the material but not outright stated and therefore are headcanons vs. things i think he does because i love him. so i tried to find some of the latter for those. the rest of this post has examples from the former but here's another one: he wants to be loved so very badly. not stated outright by canon, but implied, and heavily implied if you look too deeply, in my opinion. and y'all know i do.

oh this is a fun amount of open-endedness i think i'll just go hogwild.

so it's a bible sequel story. like hazbin hotel but i do resent that comparison. the whole entire impetus for the story is that lucifer is trying by very convoluted means to acquire an heir in order to loophole her way out of a prophecy. and by divine coincidence the main trio of the cast members fulfill the criteria. so we have actual biblical characters (lucifer, cain, Thee mother mary, Thee jesus christ, judas, God Himself) but there's also just. These Three Guys. that end up being extremely important to the universe's cosmology despite just being some fuckin randos. Eunchae & Maximus and their child, Comet. the story is mainly focused on Eunchae & Maximus & Comet and their relationships, but like... the overarching plot is about Comet being elevated to the status of Actual Antichrist and triggering the Literal Apocalypse From The Book of Revelations. And I think this is super funny. Because it's like. This is a story about interpersonal relationships, especially familial ones, and all the fuckshit that is withheld in that, but also Jesus Fucking Christ is here for part of it. Like. Okay Sure.

also it was kind of made to be in conversation with Supernatural. like... what if the dead mom from episode 1 was actually afforded agency in the story. Eunchae dies when Comet is still a baby, but it's kinda intended to be a bait n switch. Because she's dead, yes, but she killed herself intentionally, and she's still An Active Character in the story by virtue of the story partially taking place in the afterlife. If Comet & Maximus are the A plot, then she's the B plot, and all of Maximus' Dead Wife Montage moments are undercut by the fact that Eunchae is Active and Doing Shit that the audience can See With Our Eyes. the fridged version of her that exists in Maximus' mind does not reflect her reality, and the version of Maximus that exists in Eunchae's head also does not fully reflect reality. We have to interpret what Actual Reality is through both Eunchae & Maximus' misinterpretations of one another are. And Comet of course doesn't remember Eunchae and can only go off of Maximus' interpretation, adding another layer of ambiguity. It's just funnnnn
