History recap year 4 : Far Hope
A new question were comming to mind in the scientist in the Space center. Is the kerbol influance has a limit? To answer the question a new probe was created and lunch with the objective to finc the limits of the kerbol systems
History recap year 1 : Xeylor II
A probe designed to go around kerbol. Curruntly due to anthena power, the communication is lost with this probe
History Recap year 1 : Aventurine
Aventurine is the first probe to go outside the Kerbin SOI. Gathering data on the Kerbol solar radiation. The probe still has some fuel so it can be reused for some other mission or fly-by. The current "small" issue, the philonian anthena has lost commonucation with the probe.

Worlds of Kerbol
Now it was Helios 1's turn. Another burn led her at 20 megameter around the sun. This was already very close for such a large ship! This time they would really need the sun shield.
The crew was excited when they reached periapsis (and were still alive).
Seemingly drunken from the unbelievable view Johndo spontaneously left the ship through the airlock and did an EVA. - Mad man! But he found the most epic view ever!
Sun-diver #1 did four orbits to dive stepwise into the sun. Navigation became more and more inaccurate (a possible effect of the immense radiation?). The last data from the probe suggest that it was as close as 3000 kilometers above the surface of the sun - so, well within the lower corona and possibly already in the chromosphere!
An intersting and by now not understood effect is that at that close distance the glow of the corona was not visible when looking away from the sun.
However the major discovery are the dark sunspots. They seem to correlate with visible depressions in the photosphere.
The signals ended abruptly when the probe vanished in an unexpectedly large bang.
