I just blew up an artist’s notifications with a lot of likes.
I hope they check my page to see this (I know I sometimes check out someone’s page after they like some of my stuff).

It's still not ok...
Lately I have seen a lot of like "curvy" or like "living large and loving it" and "plus size beauty" posts etc. And while I totally agree that our society needs to learn to accept our bodies and not strive for being 90 lbs... we CANNOT become a society that says being anywhere from 200-300 lbs (depending on your height and body structure) is acceptable either. It's not healthy... Not being ashamed, and being happy with being overweight is a HUGE difference. It just upsets me that people can be so heavy, even obese, and not care. I am overweight, not extremely, but I'm heavy, even for 6'1". And because I am not ashamed of being overweight, but know it is not good for me, and very unhealthy, I have taken it upon myself to start working out, I plan to lose 30-40 lbs. Regardless of my work out pattern though, it makes me sick that (particularly women, they are the ones who seem to flaunt it as beauty more so than just men who dgaf and just say it's acceptable) people want to be overweight and find it ok. Obesity is one of the leading causes of death in America, like smoking cigarettes or drinking. IT KILLS PEOPLE DAILY. And we embrace it as "true beauty" true beauty should be on the inside, what makes a person who they are. Not the fact that they can come to terms with being overweight and live unhealthy. I'm not perfect, but just because our culture made a shift to admiring extremely skinny girls does not mean that we should all become extremely overweight, flaunt it, make TV shows about it, and make it a norm, to not care about our weights. I'm not perfect, I also have a mother who tells me I'm fat and need to work out more, not in a demeaning way, but because she knows that it is unhealthy and not helpful to me in ANY way, besides giving me some reason to be "secure" about something like too many people who don't want to put in the effort.
