smiles so sweetly thank you for the reminder that the reason i went insane over wudm in the first place is that i realized it would not have come together in the homoerotic way it did were it not for challengers and queer connecting craig with josho and then craig introducing josh to rian... theyre interlinked to the point where rian said multiple times challengers was his favorite movie of that year and clearly borrowed a lot of patrick for jud (alongside arthur la chimera 🤍) and i also see a bit of tashi in simone and vera too if i can be honest. intertextuality in contemporary movies is so rarely discussed bc everyone in hollywood is acting like they're in a rat race so it's nice to see both rian and luca collaborate with others and discuss their influences so openly
