Every Woman’s Insecurity
No matter what, when men think they’re staring at perfection her mirror speak lies of deceit. And it convinces her all to often. The battles are hers to fight but they are definitely easier to endure with a cheering section.

Generational (American Me #6)
Whenever we see old pictures with black people working in fields we immediately think we’re seeing slaves. I don’t think that any more. I know several family that were sharecroppers that had these type of pictures in their houses and they were proud of them. That’s when I learned that they were not slaves. They were family members, and they owned the land that they worked and they farmed it as a family. The way we’ve been MISEDUCATED about African American history, that made me wonder about all the pictures we’ve seen of groups of black people working in fields and how many of them were of families trying to created something to pass down to future generations. So this American Me series is to help retell our history that doesn’t take us from Africa to Slavery to Now....
