30. favorite tv show(s) honestly this changes just according to what i’m watching at the very moment! rn i’m having a lot of fun watching survivor, schitt’s creek, and she-ra!! i’m also playing frankie & grace in the background and that’s a cute show. i really like anything that is feel good, like sitcoms and comedys and things that make me laugh! i also like reality tv and game shows- and cooking shows like the great british bake off!! anything where i can either laugh a lot or make a lot of noise yelling at people :+)
31. 3 random facts i’m gonna assume this is 3 random facts about me and that’s easy so that’s what i’m gonna do! (1) i have a first degree black belt in red dragon karate! (which u already kno personally), (2) my first word when i was a baby was “bro” in reference to my brother, and ever since then i’ve called my brother by the name “bro” so much so that i literally sometimes forget his legal name is eric, and not in fact bro lmao, and (3) i named my dog rover after the cat character rover in animal crossing, just because i liked the name and the character. i did not realize how it was ironic that i was naming my dog after a cat that was ironically named,,,, after a dog!! haha!
56. favorite food(s) chicken ramen is probably my number one favorite food, and my go to food when i am feeling down! otherwise i love any and all kinds of soups! i’m also a big fan of pumpkin related foods in the fall, and since it’s summer rn, i’m currently loving this watermelon cucumber drink from trader joes. i really like any kind of food and i’m not picky when it comes to finding something i can eat! i have started to get away from eating meat tho!

this is the song that introduced me to cupcake, and GOD am i so fucking thankful,,, this song not only has the BEST lyrics, but the beat is blessed and i just love it a lot. it’s still one of my favorite cupcake songs, and it’s typically the song i use as my first suggestion for people to listen to when recommending her. also one of my students in michigan this summer deemed it his theme song and i still think of him every time this song plays — hope you’re doing amazing things armando !!!

5. What’s your favorite class?this semester? probably evolution or organic chemistry, even tho they were the ones i paid the LEAST attention to! when i study the material i really love it, they’ve been interesting !! in my entire academic career tho? probably phycology, the study of algae. literally all the classes (except one) that i did on catalina, those were so outstanding and challenging and i haven’t been stimulated in a class like those very often! archery was pretty fun this semester too, i mean, c’mon. that’s a given.
33. What motivates you?honestly? getting good grades, lmao. short-term that’s what keeps me focusing on my academia, mostly with forcing myself to study and getting homework done. on a larger scale i really do love academia, and the fact that i get to meet new people, take new classes that are fascinating, and do more programs and opportunities while in school is what gets me out of bed in the morning, definitely! i feel really lucky to feel so motivated each day, i try to remind myself of that.
43. What are your short term and long term career goals?short term, i honestly want to start tutoring again! i tutored freshman biology for two years and this semester i didn’t because i knew i would have a fully plate without it (and boy did i!). but i really miss it and i almost want to look into applying to tutor again because it’s such an amazing feeling to help someone in a field i love so much !! long term, definitely college professor. the more faculty i make relationships with the more i want to be a college faculty and be as amazing as my mentors! it’d be a mix of everything i love about academia and then some, so that’s definitely my current long term career goal.
