Ralph. Baby. I fucking love you. Come home to me soon. I need my baby in my fuckin’ arms. I don’t want to talk about how much it hurts or how unnatural it is when you’re not here. I’m just… not myself. I want the world to see us get married. I want to call you my husband. Want to look in your eyes and give you the vows that will be so natural for me to say. Come home to me. Soon. <3 Kellen. 

Kellen would never see just how much Ralph’s grin split his face as he read over the note or hear the little laugh that sounded through the room when he sniffed the rose and then the bag of weed. He’d never catch how stupid in love Ralph looked sprawled out on their bed with a spliff in one hand and the rose held by the stem in the other; the way he twirled it lazily around as he swallowed down mouthfuls of smoke only to let them swirl out from between his lips around the flower. 

Nope, he’d miss all that. 

He’d see the effects of his little gift the moment he stepped through the door though. High Ralph was an affectionate Ralph but around Kellen the effect was tenfold and even more so now. 

"Mmm.. you’re pretty fucking cute sometimes you know?" He’d whisper against his mouth after his lips did their fair share of worshiping Kellen’s. A peppering of more kisses would follow as he secured his arms around his neck, nudging his nose with his own before smiling up at him, that smile turning into a grin as he said, "—To infinity and beyond, baby." 

That, of course, would set Ralph off and laughter would bubble up from his throat, which he’d try to contain—to no avail—as he planted clumsy kisses across his lover’s face, the kisses continuing until he finally settled enough to deepen one of the them.
