Just saw GET OUT yesterday afternoon and was probably the best film I've seen in months. A lot of film critics and pundits were brushing this film aside when it was first known that @JordanPeele of Key and Peele fame wrote, produce and directed it, but since that first trailer dropped everyone got quiet. Now every one those same same critics and pundits are raving over the film. The story of the film plays out exactly how the the half of the trailer was. An interracial couple drive off to meet the girlfriend's white parents in what seems to lead into a story similar to the film "GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER". And from there, that when all the craziest shit kicks off. My only critque of the film was this one scene that felt like a failed and predictable comedy skit straight outta Key and Peele and should have been left out of the film as it served NO PURPOSE, but the next scene drags you RIGHT back in. Jordan Peele did a great job and earned that 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's fun and suspenseful and down right creepy. It's not over until the fat lady sings! The last #Sundance film at Eccles was #CrownHeights, audience winner for US dramatic. Such a beautiful film about such a travesty of justice. #MattRuskin you were an amazing director and #KeithStanfield as #ColinWarner was painful to watch. I literally said #OhMyGod out loud & gasped a few times. Such great performances by the whole cast! If ever you needed a friend #NnamdiAsomugha as #CarlKing is the man to have in your corner!
