Everything will be ok. A psychiatrist or therapist cannot share anything with your parents unless you sign a HIPAA form to allow them to.
When you talk to them, fill out any forms with your cell phone number. If you’re scared your parents will notice their name on your phone, put something else in the contact field.
Your parents are not going to find out about this, anon. It’s ok to be nervous about that; in spite of the fact that the thing you’re afraid of isn’t rational, it makes sense to be afraid of something that you don’t want to happen.
