he only volunteered to leave for the alcohol run—-after kevin forked up the money,    of course—-because stiles liked kevin,     more than he liked silas anyway,       and that worked in their favor.     by the time he shows up they’re already watching some movie and sitting too close together,    thighs nearly touching,     and silas isn’t fazed in the slightest by the display.    as if he’d been expecting it.     

                silas drops the bags on the coffee table right as stiles sits forward to rifle through the bags.    ( beer,   fireball,   rum,    coke,    some snacks.   including a special kinda cookie. )     ❛    scott left,   huh?   ❜    silas says as he sits on the other side of stiles,     already crackin’ open a cold one to sip at while stiles grabs the red solo cups from the bag.    but his gaze is on kevin—-       an unspoken understanding simmering between them.     his younger brother’s motorcycle had been noticeably absent when he pulled into the driveway despite the plans to party that night,     but that meant they could finally act.
