#mystory 156/365;" Failing without being a Failure". As I was walking my 6.2m tonight it was quiet and I spent a lot of energy thinking about "failure" and "success". So much of what we talk about or aspire to as an #entrepreneur & as #human beings is focused solely on "success" ... It's funny... I don't think of myself as a success... I've failed so much in so many different aspects of my life... In business, in relationships, as a husband, as a student, as a son, as a friend.. And I'm sure even as a dad.... But at the same time that I don't necessarily view myself in my mirror as a success... I have also learned that no matter how many times I've failed.... Im not a failure. As a younger man and less mature #leader I went thru a few patches where I absolutely felt like a failure... But as life's experiences, and perspective and humility have rooted more deeply in me... I appreciate that the only real "failure" in life would be to give up. To quit trying. To stop bouncing back. To fail to learn from your mistakes, improve and keep fighting... I've failed. You will all fail... And I'll fail again in life and business.... That's as predictable as this sunset & the truth that this sun will circle our planet and rise again bringing a fresh new day tomorrow....but making sure we all rise up tomorrow with it... & continue to chase our #passion , fight for what & who we believe in and love... & continuing to try our best to make our dreams our reality while helping others succeed....
