“The KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES series actually started as a short story told from Fitz's POV. The basic plot was that he would find a girl in the human world, realize she's an elf, and tell her--which wasn't exactly a very satisfying ending! I couldn't stop thinking about that little girl, wondering why she'd been hidden away and what would happen to her next, so I decided to write her story.
