Allotment gardening diary :Collected Autumn leaves and filled leaves bay, collected other material and partially filled big compost bay, cleared side of allotment and built another bay for making leafmould.

In this video I'll be making more compost bays and filling them. I build quick compost bays from palettes and store the green clippings for ericaceous compost and make another bay for normal compost. 

I've added a temporary fence at the back of the allotment, to give a little privacy and deter casual visitors. I also start a temporary compost heap, in the bottom of the allotment from the clippings that tree surgeons and arborists drop off in the chippings bay.
