so this is an interview (around the release of "whatever", their final song) that i think covers why keembo was so wonderful. they were nawt rlly a commercial hit but they were extremely prolific, explored a good range of sounds + sentiments, found a way to perform for fans frequently (weekly at some point, iirc). what they put out was baked w affection, that as a listener is wonderful to connect to. spica were under so much pressure to hit it big, and u could feel it in each single they put out. with keembo there's a lot less of that burden, even as everyone's chest-deep in production scrambling to put everything up. bless the two of them bless the araline/sweetune team
