i dont know how i uh feel about shipping keefe and alvar

like while i was reading unraveled i was like, omg these two are so cute together theyre so gay and stuff and they should fuck and i strongly shipped them

and then i saw on the lost cities keeper wiki that uh alvar is 28 and keefe is 16

thats a 12 year age difference and keefe is a minor

idk if its ethical to age alvar down in my head and age keefe up

i feel like alvar is written as if he was younger

but hes still almost in his thirties

so i guess the verdict is that i dont ship them

elves have an indefinite lifespan. so in like 200 years or so their age literally wont matter.

like they met when alvar was way older than keefe which is why i still think its weird but

i mean if theyd met 100 years into their lifetime...

like they could be not in love right NOW (but keefe has a crush on him like a celebrity crush or smth) and then 100 years later when theyre like living together and stuff THEN alvar has the gay crisis and shit

i thought that shipping keefevar was weird but when i realized elves have indefinite lifespans i think its much more ethical, especially if they meet later in life like as an AU and it might even be fine in canon if they fell in love later in life even if they knew each other.
