KCON NY TIPS PT.2
More tips to make the best of your KconĀ experience and survive the dreadful Post KconĀ Depression!!
#11 Take a video of everything
I told myself I wouldnāt take videos so that I can enjoy the moment but after KconĀ I regret not taking many vids. ALSO,Ā take pictures of everything you do. Again I wasnāt able to take many pictures partly because my phone was dying but also because I wanted to enjoy the moment. Have your phone set up so you donāt have to keep looking at it, this way you enjoy what youāre doing and at the same time will be able to revisit it during the post kconĀ depression.
#12 Bring a portable charger
I brought a solar charging portable charger. Entering the concert I only had 4% battery life so I couldnāt take a video of Seventeenās performance (*SOBS*). So I plugged it into my charger (which I charged before hand) and my phone was able to go up to 14% by the time BtobĀ came out. On the 2nd day, I learned to charge my phone an hour before the concert started ( I was able to take full vids of Mamamoo and Day 6)
#13 Wear your most comfortable shoes
As tempting as it is to wear your gorgeous heels (trust me I almost brought mines with me), your feet will ache by the end of the day. The only seats you will get before the concert (If you have seated, if not good luck ><) is the floor. Yes, we sat on the dirty sidewalk, but it was either that or our feet falls off. I was wearing sneakers and my feet was still in so much pain.
#14 Donāt be afraid to take pictures with people you find good-looking
My friends were caught sneaking pictures of a cute staff when he saw them he posed!! They even got pictures with him!! People at Kcon are generally friendly (unless you skip the line or try to squish your way into the front), so donāt be afraid to talk to them :)
#15 Mind your manners
Yes, we are all hyped to see our Oppas, Eonnies, Hyungs, or Nunnas but skipping the line is a no no no(-Apink)!!Ā people will glare at youĀ because they got there early and missed some events just so that they could be at the front of the line. These people are tired and has been in the heat for a long time, so they are going to get mad easily.
#16 Get peopleās numbers, Kakao, Insta, Snapchat....
We met a lotĀ of people!! Some of them we didnāt know were YouTubers! so when you meet people (trust me you will and it will feel like you guys have been friends forever) get their names and social medias, because more than likely you will meet them again (Next kpop concert Jhopefully).
#17 Scream your love to your idols!!
This one girl at the Crush High touch yelled out that she loved him and he replied that he loves her too!!!!! I screamed out Young Kās name and he looked at me plenty of times and smiled (*Fangirls real hard*). But do stay quiet when the idols are answering questions because people will tell you to shut up (trust me I was way tooĀ excited and made that mistake *cries*).
#18 Bring Cash
Some booths accept credit cards but some donāt. It wasnāt such a big problem this year but always keep cash just in case. I saw one ATM but none of the people in my group really used it.
#19 Join the raffles
Even if you just came for the convention and do not have concert tickets there are booths giving them away through raffles. You can also win artist engagements and selfie opportunities with your idols. There were a bunch of people who got BTS high touch through this, and got a selfie with Day6 and Btob.
#20 HAVE FUN
The Kcon days were the best days of my life and I wish it lasted forever!! Forget your worries and struggles for the weekend and enjoy. This weekend is for you because you deserved it, so enjoyĀ enjoy ENJOY it with all your heart!!!
These are my tips from what I experienced at Kcon NY 2016 and I am hoping to go to Kcon NY 2017 so see you there maybe. p.s. GO TO KLUB KCON there are only a few people so you get a good spot to see your idols.
