Kcko... Or not.
Been in a pretty low place. 6 days left of the challenge to blog, but I honestly haven’t given any fucks for the past week.
Teaching is exhausting because I have to deal with people (surprise! I’m not a people person). I’ve done two events in the past week and I haven’t performed since October. One was sprung on me the day before (?!) so I was stressing about costumes until I got to the venue and talked to the makeup artist. (Thank you Jen, for undies and incredible body paint.) The second was on Friday so I missed hang outs with friends I never see. Rigging was way too low and that’s the hotel’s rigger at fault, not our riggers so pffk. The event also ran late - 3 hours later than it was supposed to. Client was happy at least.
Eating has been ok, anyone else would likely say its been really good (still low carb), but I didn’t even try to actively follow keto. Having a shitty week and then walking past my favourite bad food place at midnight? Yeah, I definitely got myself poutine.
Post-event tradition is for everyone to go to a restaurant and get some fuel. If bossman is there, he pays for drinks. When there’s only a few of us, I don’t usually get invited. I was not impressed that I was forced to decline because I live on the opposite side of town and if I stayed, there would be zero ways home (I don’t count a 50$ cab ride as a viable option.)
Walking alone + eating + Nightclub Street + full show makeup + catcalls = no fucks given.
So yeah. I’m doing (not) great.
Keto-ers: what should I do? Restart this week? Back up a bit? Say screw it because I was still lchf?
