I absolutely, absolutely adore Business As Usual. I love how these two are SO extremely attracted to each other - like every single glance is charged, every kiss is an explosion, every pause feels like someone should hit the emergency button. I love how it shows that your feelings and your experiences shape your reality - how two people can live through the same story but carry it completely differently. It’s so quietly devastating and so real.

I love how Jin Hwan is trying to be less of a fuckboy (but come on - the flirting, the teasing, that dangerous smile that could bring nations to their knees - it’s in his DNA). I am so completely gone for him it’s honestly embarrassing. I love how Min Jun gives himself these tiny pep talks, trying to be braver, stronger, less scared, less insecure. That little “no need to be scared” moment? I melted. Baby boy you’re doing amazing.

Their smiles into kisses? Perfect. That little forehead kiss? Soul-healing. The way Jin Hwan looks like he’s about to devour Min Jun every time they get within six inches of each other? Honestly, good for him. Good for ME.

And those make out scenes? Blessed. Sacred. Steamy in a way that felt deeply personal.

Next week is the LAST EPISODE and I’m already grieving. Even if I hadn’t seen the preview, I would’ve guessed exactly what was coming: Min Jun pulling one last disappearing act by pushing Jin Hwan away, being emotionally constipated one final time before realizing, way too late, that he actually wants to be with him. Classic. But is it too late? It’s never too late in BL if you run fast enough. So yes - we’re manifesting an airport sprint. Get your sneakers on, Min Jun.

This show isn’t necessarily groundbreaking, but it’s been refreshing. It really leans into how differently people can experience love and pain - and how the same moment can live in two people’s memories in totally opposite ways. Even if it ends like most BLs, a little rushed, a little safe, I’ll still treasure it. I’ll always remember the ride.

And Jin Hwan.

I’ll always remember HIM.

And that GODDAMN smile.

Ok, now that I’ve calmed down a little… I might have been a bit too taken with Jin Hwan’s dangerous smile and gorgeous everything, and completely forgotten (or knowingly ignored) the fact that I actually agreed with Min Jun’s doubts in the first place.

Because let’s be honest - Jin Hwan’s flirty attitude and extreme closeness with Woo Hyeok even made me a little uneasy. When we were watching from Min Jun’s perspective, it genuinely felt like there were no boundaries at all. And when a relationship is that new, it’s totally normal not to want to voice every concern out of fear of seeming possessive or needy. Add a good amount of insecurity and self-doubt, and boom: the perfect storm for miscommunication and misunderstandings.

But then we got Jin Hwan’s POV.

For us, it was suddenly so clear. They were just really good friends. What we thought were blurred lines were actually Jin Hwan being a flustered loser around Min Jun, and Woo Hyeok being the ultimate wingman - giving thoughtful advice, being there for his friend, and straight up blocking distractions (never forgetting that scene).

So yes, Min Jun did gaslight himself. He convinced himself of things that weren’t true. Jin Hwan wasn’t badmouthing him. He wasn’t playing the field.

BUT his feelings were still valid. The vibe between Jin Hwan and Woo Hyeok was questionable at times. And when nothing is being clearly discussed, those feelings don’t just disappear - they fester.

I did say in my first review, “Min Jun isn’t crazy. He’s uncommunicative, maybe a bit too insecure, sure—but he’s not pulling this out of thin air.” And then I turned around and contradicted myself like five minutes later.

The truth is: Yes, Min Jun is doubling down in ways he doesn’t have to. But even when you finally realize you were wrong about something, reconstructing your feelings? Processing that? That’s a whole separate mountain to climb. Sometimes going back is harder than moving forward.

And another thing - we saw everything from Jin Hwan’s eyes, but Min Jun? He only got a handful of words. Quick explanations that, let’s be real, could easily sound like well-rehearsed excuses. Even if he’s starting to realize Jin Hwan might be telling the truth, what’s the proof? How do you know?

Like, who’s to say Jin Hwan didn’t lie about that phone call with Woo Hyeok? Min Jun can choose to believe it, sure - but he’ll never get to go back and actually see that moment. He wasn’t there. He can’t read Jin Hwan’s mind. All he has is Jin Hwan’s word… and his own spiral of conflicting emotions.

It’s Jin Hwan’s calm confidence versus Min Jun’s unresolved trauma.

Belief versus memory.

A tough, tough spot to be in.

So maybe… I do actually get where Min Jun’s coming from.

UGH. FINE.

I’ll endure one more episode of Min Jun’s pouty indecisiveness.

Here is my first (a bit too angry) take lol:

Every week, a new KBL man decides to test my patience. Last week it was Min Jun (although I retracted that after cooling down a bit), and now it’s the absolute mess that is the “friendship” between Do Ba Woo and Jihoon. These characters with ZERO communication skills, constantly talking in riddles, misleading each other, and acting like emotional cryptids are seriously testing me.

Before I launch into this week’s rage-fueled breakdown, let me be VERY clear about where I stand:

Look at this CHEMISTRY. The SECOND LEAD SYNDROME is real and haunting me. I am personally attacked. It hurts. God. And seriously - LOOK at this open, honest communication. They were enemies (sort of), now friends, and they DEFINITELY should be lovers. That would be the epic shit this show needs. I want Hamin to be happy. I want Do Ba Woo to realize he can be with someone who isn’t going to send him into a spiral every three hours. I want a plot twist where the second lead wins and we all cry happy tears. IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

Anyway. Now onto my actual feelings about the so-called “main couple.” UGH.

Why won’t Do Ba Woo just confess already? He’s clearly already giving up on their friendship, so why not just say it: “Look, you’re an asshole for telling people I liked you in high school - it was humiliating. And now I’m overwhelmed with all these feelings. It’s not fun anymore. I need space to catch my breath.” DONE. Is it the greatest love confession? No. Would it solve half this mess? Absolutely. The way he says he wants to end things, then meets with Jihoon again, then ignores and almost ghosts him, then keeps talking to him like everything’s normal - it’s giving PATHETIC. And not in a cute way. Honestly.

But don’t think I’m letting Jihoon off the hook. Just last week, at the end of Ep 4, we all thought he finally had a moment of clarity. Like maybe his last two brain cells brushed against each other and he finally realized something about their situationship or that he’s been in love with Do Ba Woo this entire time and was too much of a coward to confess.

But no. He’s still extremely clingy - the constant calls, never ending pressure of maintaining their friendship, LYING ABOUT BEING SICK because he saw Do Ba Woo with Hamin and got jealous - and then has the AUDACITY to say “I do this with all my friends.” SIR? WHICH FRIENDS? The ones you constantly scream at? Jesus fucking Christ. You’re either that stupid and emotionally stunted or completely unaware of your own feelings. Or maybe you’re worse of a coward than Bo Da Woo? Either way, I just want to kick you in the head.

At this point, all I want is one Do Ba Woo and Hamin kiss. Just one. That would make everything better. Let me have that moment before the inevitable “I just realized I love you too” confession from Jihoon ruins my peace and the stupid couple sails off into the sunset - leaving poor Hamin (who should’ve been the main lead anyway) behind like some emotionally well-adjusted ghost of what could’ve been.

Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

I knew it. I knew Min Jun was going to double down on his distorted version of the past, that he was ready to die on this “even though I falsely blamed and ghosted you, as well as self sabotaged myself, I still believe you’re an asshole without any reasoning or common sense” hill. WHY, JIN HWAN? WHY ARE YOU SIMPING OVER MIN FUCKING JUN? Like? Why? I just want to punch that man’s stupid pouty mouth. This guy grimaced at Jin Hwan ONCE - I can’t even call it a smile - and the rest of the time? Sighs. Pouts. Expressions of mild disgust. UGH. Like, I’m done.

Look, I made a compilation of his stupid (okay - also beautiful) face because this man deserves the embarrassment. HE EVEN POUTS AT AN EMPTY DESK.

Kudos to Chae Jong Hyeok, though. He really, really made me hate his character - with just his mouth and dead eyes. He’s truly owning this glum, bleak, empty-shell-of-a-man vibe. I love to hate him. Truly.

BUT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I’M ATTRACTED TO JIN HWAN. The way he looks, the way he talks, the way he dresses, the confident half-smiles, the intense stares, HIS FACE CARD - I AM OBSESSED. I need him.

Anyway, I’ve vented (and drooled over Jin Hwan) enough. What actually happens in this episode? More unpacking of the past. We (unfortunately) see Jin Hwan getting more resolute about winning Min Jun back - it was all bad timing, immaturity, lack of communication, and now that they’ve grown, he’s ready to fix it. He’s so sure they deserve another shot.

Meanwhile, the gloom-master (aka Min Jun)? Still stuck in his self-gaslighting spiral, convinced that everything was Jin Hwan’s fault (well, not exactly but he’s not letting go either). He’s holding on to the grudge like it’s his job. Why? Because he’s an insecure, immature, boring asshole, that’s why. GOD, I HATE HIM.

Don’t get me wrong, though - I love to hate Min Jun and love to love Jin Hwan. This show gives me every single feeling in the book and I’m eating it all up. I wish it went on for years. Let me be dramatic and chronically obsessed in peace.

Next week promises more of Min Jun’s emotional constipation and Jin Hwan doing the Lord’s work by still being in love with this man.
