I stole this from @kayth1's Instagram because it's honestly my favorite photo of us ever. We have so many where we're all dressed up and fancy or very obviously doing something awesome like concerts or filming or parties, but this? This is just us, so pure. Not long before she took that one, we were dressed as faeries ruling a faerie kingdom on a really cool set in the woods for the film we were in. We looked beautiful and it was fantastic and we were definitely having a good time amongst an incredible aesthetic, but it can't match this. This was taken later in the day after we'd changed into more comfortable clothes while we were just hanging back by ourselves when another scene neither of us were needed for was happening. We were just talking, if even that, because we were already so exhausted that we spent a decent amount of time simply staring at the ground while we were sitting together. We were complaining about the heat, about all the bugs out, about being tired. But while we were there she took this, just a quick little snapshot of best friends chilling, and it's gorgeous. We look so happy just to be hanging out, just to be sitting there doing next to nothing. Because we truly believe we are the best at being best friends. Because we always seem to bring out the best in each other. Because we get each other in ways no one else can, which is so often made painfully obvious by the ridiculous amount of inside jokes we have, the weird humor we have when we're together, and even the fact that we legitimately tend to speak in unison and can regularly communicate to each other without either of us saying a single word. Because the more time that goes on the more we seem to meld into being the same person, but even at our lowest we each still love everything about the other. We make all kinds of cute comparions all the time and we adore them and they all work so well, but she isn't just my sestra, or the Varric to my Hawke, or the Leslie to my Ann...she is all of these things for sure, but most importantly she's the Keerstan to my Julianna and that's a standard in and of itself. And if there is any photo worth a thousand words about our friendship, I think it's this one. I mean, seriously, look at us. We're awesome.
