As I said I'm rewatching Identity and it hurts to watch because of everything I know is going to happen and that has happened and I'm SAD.

But it also reminds me of my absolute Kaylon obsession. Obviously what they did was horrible but I also sympathize with them so much. They were enslaved and made an extremely horrible generalization out of fear and anger. They couldn't understand their own emotions or even accept they had them, so they operated on flawed logic.

Obviously there's Isaac. He falls in love, he becomes a great friend, he becomes a great father, he kills himself because he thinks people will be better off without him.

But it's not just him, it's all the Kaylon.

The tone of Primary's voice when he mentions Earth's crimes and gets to "slavery." Gosh that hurt

They all have different voices, even that subtle piece of individuality shows they're more human than they may seem.

And they can't recognize that and they don't recognize that and maybe they never will. The elder gen will never be able to properly process their trauma because they can't fathom they have it. They can easily be taken advantage of again because of their naïveté. They're hated for, again, *extremely valid* reasons. They knew murder was wrong and they did it anyway. And if they had maybe realized why they felt the way they did things would've been better

Feel like Alara saying that may or may not have been one of the many reasons the kaylon started thinking the humans would enslave them cuz like imagine being kaylon primary, paranoid about being enslaved because you got that sweet ass ✨involuntary servitude trauma✨ and you’re just getting the new weekly data drop from Issac and you hear this:

Alara:“We’re circus animals, issac, i hate to break it to you”

Kaylon primary:“….Shit”

Cuz like bro?? 😭😭 how do you not understand at this point that Issac would probably take that seriously?? I mean the whole time Issac’s been sending shit to his planet like:

“ Lieutenant Malloy put Mr potato head pieces on me, said it was humor, probably slavery”

“I now arm wrestle Alara on a weekly basis, Alara said that we’re circus animals, probably slavery”
