Does your mc have an phobias or fears that are considered normal? Or maybe some that aren’t normal?
Casey/Kaycee has had an anxiety disorder since she was a child, and it was exacerbated by the chemical attack. As anyone with an anxiety disorder knows, irrational fears are part of the territory. In both universes, she has this largely under control, but it can creep up, sometimes at the most inopportune times.
So sometimes, if a loved one is driving in a thunderstorm, she may suddenly become gripped with fear... even if she knows chances are they will be fine. When she became a mother, there were times that letting her daughters grow up was more stressful than it would be for someone without this condition; but again, she is aware of it and won't let it control her. She has a loving partner in both worlds, so both Ethan and Tobias are there to support her when needed.
As to phobias? She is afraid of bees, but she is allergic, so it makes sense. At times, she is afraid of heights, but not always. She thinks it's impacted by her anxiety - when it's not quite under control, it's worse. She's also not fond of escalators, but she'll take them.
