If you edit existing chapters, no one will know that you’ve made changes. The publishing date on the story won’t change, an no notifications will go out. 

If the changes aren’t major and are more stylistic, you can just mention it in an author’s note at the top of the chapter when you post a new one. If there are plot-impacting changes, you should outline those changes in an author’s note. Not everyone goes back to reread a WIP after a hiatus so not everyone will see. 

As for letting people know you’re back, notifications etc. are automatic on a new chapter so you’re covered there. Your fic will also go to the top of the tag when you post a new chapter. You should also make a tumblr post. There’s generally a fair bit of crossover between the two sites and you can reblog a tumblr post a lot more often than you can post a new chapter. 

i’m gonna ramble here but Honestly i have no clue at all where they’re going to go but??? i think there’s a reasonable dissection of the new ep to say that actually kind of Was a neric conflict ep??? 

I mean, theoretically they may have seen a bunch of ppl freaking out over neric when they gave it to us and decided that it’d be a good direction to go in to get good viewership, in which case this may be entirely benign and ok but, today’s ep wasn’t entirely conflict free, Nell and Eric don’t often butt heads and Nell ends up apologizing to Eric even less than that, in which case, we could theoretically see the new ep, in neric scales anyway, kinda not flufff??? which last week Absolutely was 100% tooth rotting fluff. 

Neric drama is way less dramatic than densi drama because nell and eric have less massive personal issues AND aren’t /often/ involved in life or death drama, theirs is a more regular kind of couple angst, but hey ‘my significant other kinda didn’t tell me this mutual acquaintance that we implied this ep we saw socially (like.. we didn’t see neric interact w/ joelle that i remember??? But Joelle says she remembers Nell so it had to have been social interaction out of work if we didn’t see the case) is actually alive and well and not dead is... kinda murky?

I’m on the fence about the whole situation because honestly this is a Work thing not a couple thing and it’s perfectly reasonable that in their line of work Nell would work on stuff he wouldn’t so she wouldn’t really need to be telling him, but also she admitted she /could/ have told him and just didn’t but i’m still not entirely sure if i think she should have, considering the situation, so yeah. My point is there’s a reasonable argument to say 10x03 actually was kinda drama for them b/c when was the last time u saw Eric call her on something and her sincerely apologise??? It’s normally him overstepping a boundry as a chivalrous idiot (whom i love but he’s still a gryffindor idiot) and recognising a line (a line she’s relaxed as they’ve gotten together... She was okay with him springing to her defence against joelle and against Sydney, too), not Nell doing something he considered unfair to him. 

I mean, it’s this show, if we go 4 eps without an explosion we start to, as a fandom, wonder where all our explosions have gone and they’re all utterly ridiculous people, so u can’t entirely rule out them throwing an absurdly dramatic and probably ridiculous angst plot at us, but i don’t think they’ve written the background for it. Densi have established couple interaction literally going back /years/ that made their recent bout into angstiness realistic, Neric just don’t have that. I feel like small bouts into stuff like we got in the new ep, or like some of their other previous issues are more likely /and/ realistic and for how much i’ve moaned about them giving us very little, what they have given us has in general been incredibly structurally sound in a storytelling way and it’s been impressively organic, so i’m not.. Properly worried, personally. 

basically i’m gonna worry about it if it happens but i really doubt they’ll ever do densi level oh god no angst for neric bc they’re never gonna do densi level depth and plot extrapolation, so the angst would be unrealistic and disproportionate to the fluff. 

Definitely yellow! But I think her personality is a SP, and I associate SPs with yellow for some reason
