'Tis the time of year again when yucky weather makes things even harder on the animals dropping babies out at the farm, and Mom inevitably winds up bringing some babies home in order to keep them alive. Currently, I'm babysitting two week old lambs and two day old goat kids - the latter are content to stay put when not eating. The lambs, on the other hand, refuse to stop following me around, which is only cute for the first five minutes. (Yes, one has a hurt foot, but he's doing okay and staying mobile.)
However, there is a new development compared to years past, in that we have Katiebug and her lone puppy Pudgie in the house too:
Ain't they cute? (Nobody tell my mom I put a picture of her online, she'll be horrified.)
Now, this Interesting because not only is Pudgie starting to wobble around after the lambs, his mama actually let them nurse on her!!
I don't have a good photo, unfortunately, but I kid you not, this fierce beast just stands there as two barbido lambs suckle away, with the most baffled expression I have ever seen on a dog - the canine equivalent of John Mulaney saying "this might as well happen", and it is the funniest thing I've seen all week xD
