I LOVE MY COCKATIEL. I was not prepared to love him so much. I'd definitely advocate for getting one, they're sweeties. When you do get one the website "Cockatiel Cottage" is super helpful :)
Heh, my girlfriend is a bird keeper at a zoo. We have... so many plans for birds. All the plans, in fact. Cockatiels are just one of them. ^_^
