Katakombi's Self-titled MLP, Death/Doom with Avant Garde Twist (Details & Full Stream)

  Here is some solid death/doom with a refreshing, weird twist. The band has their more psychedelic/alternative moments but they balance them well with weighted, aggressive metal.

  Katakombi was formed during autumn of 2011, in Helsinki, Finland. The following year, they made the “Hämärän Vartija” demo. They have been playing live shows around their homeland, and plan to tour at some point during 2014, although details are yet to be announced.

  This band has been at work finding ways to creep into the subconscious of listeners, while at the same time assaulting them with an up-front attack of regressive malevolence. I think they’ve come close as hell to achieving those objectives with their new self-titled MLP. The short but very worthwhile record times in at almost 27 minutes, so there’s plenty to enjoy.
