Geek Cave REVIEW: Utopiates (Graphic Novel)
Kat Rocha and Josh Finney's 01 Publishing is home to some unique ideas you won't find anywhere else in comics, and their graphic novel Utopiates (which you can order through our store) is a prime example of intriguing writing mixed with great art, creating a dark and engaging world that, if you're a Marvel or DC fan primarily, will be both foreign and inviting to you.
Without spoiling story details, the tale centers around a drug that allows you to replace your memories with someone else's ... think Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but different, if that makes any sense. The titular drug can turn a normal person into a trained soldier, which is a big part of the story and presents some jarring moments.
In all, I highly enjoyed this book, which has been constantly selling out on Amazon.com, so if you want to get your hands on it, order through our store as soon as you can.
