i literally just listened to ka//nye w/sts new song and i literally cannot stop laughing like this man has actually lost his mind and i cant fucking deal
my whole experience with the m&g and other interactions are under the cut because its long as shit (-:
i got there INCREDIBLY early, like my friend and i left for the venue 4 hours before the doors opened for everyone and 3 before the m&g (mainly because we thought doors opened at 7 and not 8) but i got to hear them soundcheck from outside!
when the meet and greet happened, we were let in, and i asked for zach (their drummer) and their manager said hes watching men in black so she wasn't sure, but he came out with the boys!
zach knew i was in georgia before this so we had a long talk about how i moved to seattle for music therapy and how cool it is while others met the boys. i got him to sign my ukulele and he even said he was looking forward to it (which i still dont believe LOL). we also talked about the art and how he was really happy to finally meet me and to receive art in person for the first time and my whole heart melted right then and there. (he just posted pics of us on his ig right before i started to type this all out and im actually crying yall holy fuck)
and so when i finally got to talk to the boys, OH MAN LOL GOD IM SO DUMB
ben immediately went in for a hug while i tried to hand out the art to them, and then realized what was happening and they were like "oh my god!" they really loved the art which i was really nervous about hahahaha
but then they asked me about being in seattle, and i went on the whole talk that i just had with zach about studying here and all that jazz. so they also got hype about it which was dope! richard pointed out my jacket and (pins too they thought the bb8 pin that spins was cute, richard loved the cat pin of course), saying how he liked it and i was like "thanks i thought of yall when i brought it" cause they always wear bomber jackets !!! then i told them how proud i am and how inspired i am about their album, and teased them about how it didn't come soon, but they were like "we were trrryyying" and i was like "ooh god guys i was joking i understand its out now and thats all that matters". after that i asked them if they ever used the ukulele i gave them and read the letters inside of the case, and they were like "oh yeah we did!" and i apologized for possibly oversharing in the letters but they were so sweet about it, and they said they use my uke!! i felt like they were lying but after finding out elliott had it, i asked ben and rich and ben said its the only uke he has and he def plays it, and elliott said he even wrote some stuff on it and said he'd show me so im holding that against him and will be waiting for it while they finish up their tour. right before we had to wrap it up and take pictures i explained how this is my first show seeing them headline, and they were like ????? so i told them "yall decided to skip atlanta on your last tour, so i saw you with chance and tori" and they were like "oOOhHH" and expressed how happy they were to see me at their own show in that case :')
during the show i tried hard not to record much and just really enjoy myself since i was literally at the front of the stage, there was no barrier, which i definitely did. i got a few snippets here and there but not much, and i used my disposable camera that they gave VIP and took pictures during the last few songs.
the crowd was INCREDIBLY loud and it was such a good vibe, except the short times people would scream during quiet songs and all that jazz (which pissed me off lmao)
anyways interactions that happened in bullet form bc this is so fucking long already;
-they were talking about how long we've waited for this album, and im like "YEAH TOO FUCKING LONG, TWO YEARS AND SO MUCH FOR SOON" and richard looked at me and just laughed (hes so wholesome i love him)
-during "only love" i was singing at ben most of the time and he looked at me and smiled good GOD i melted right then and there
-not an interaction but elliott had a little guitar solo and i CRIED that man is SO FUCKING TALENTED and he was jammin HARD to some of his own songs im crying i love him
-zach came up front to play guitar for one of the songs and the boys were talking about how hes the honorary member and someone yelled fourthstory, and zach's just shaking his head no silently so i yell not super loudly since hes right in front of me and say "nah zach you're just jazz" and he nods at me and says "just jazz"
-had a few tidbits here and there where richard would react to whatever i was yelling by smiling broadly hes so cute
-after the show my friend that i went to the show with (and other concert friends i made) wanted to wait for the boys, after the show, we were lined up against the wall by their manager, so when zach came out first i was like "bye zach!" and he ran up to me and hugged me and said thank you over and over, to take care, and hopefully hell see me next time!
-when the boys came out i called out to richard asking if there was a gundam on his shirt and he was confused, he was like "??? i think so???" and another fan was asking him if he liked anime and stuff and he just smiled and was like "im too busy to really" but then he turned to me and tugged on his shirt and was like "is it a gundam?" and i was like "yeah im pretty sure it is" and he smiled and nodded, waved to fans and got into the van
-elliott came out with richard and just laughed during the interaction while waving to other fans, and then ben came out and said hello and they were outta there
