I noticed! It seems cool and I like their interface. I have been thinking about reviving my Ko-Fi and moving my originals there and making subscription tiers on there. I’m still going back and forth between Ko-Fi and Patre0n regarding which would best suit my needs. I kinda do like the idea of having a shop and subscriptions on the same platform so it would be easier to give first dibs on originals to subs etc.
I may ask for people’s opinion on this later!
I say the post you reblogged about the vaquita and unfortunately this "round up the vaquitas" won't work. This has never worked for marine mammals and most likely nearly all or all the vaquitas they capture will die in the process. This exact thing happened with an Asian river dolphin. They tried to capture them but drove them to extinction instead. It's better to support anti-Gil betting legislation, and fight against illegal fishing

You wanna know something I found out that happened after the Dec 17 ban? Not only did they screw up in trying to ban porn bots, which did nothing to stop them and allowed racists blogs to stay on, but basically took out all the anti cap blogs in search and allowed pro cap blogs to dominate the tag
I’ll agree the ban was Tumblr-brand failure as usual.May I ask what specific search(es) you found this to be true in? Unfortunately anti-cap is shared between our dig and anti-capitalism’s dig - which, while I don’t think that should be censored either ಠ_ಠ, that *might* explain part of it.

Hmm. I don’t have personal experience with patreon, but I think I would focus on what you like to do, and see how you can break that down into tiers. If you like making comics, maybe give people insight into the thumbnails, inking, and coloring process for different prices! Or offer tutorials if you like teaching. If youre interested in researching things, maybe let patreon backers request a topic and then research it each month.
I think if you dont have a big following, focus on what /you/ like to do, so it doesnt become something tiresome! :) If any of our followers have advice, please reblog this post!
For those of us wanting to make dakimakura body pillows, what's the best general dimensions to use to draw the general deisng? Cuz I see some things that say 30"x60", 21'x60", and i wqant to know whats best to encompass the whole design on the pillow
Kiriska: It’s best to check with your manufacturer. What are the dimensions they print at?
Generally, the dimensions they give are for one full side of the pillow (so no white borders). It’s generally recommended to include at least a quarter inch bleed, so if the pillow is 30" x 60", you should make your drawing at least 30.5″ x 60.5″ (which at 300 dpi is 9150 x 18150 pixels, though a lower dpi may be fine when printing this large).
If you’re being given the option between different sizes of pillow, keep in mind that there isn’t actually one “standard” size of body pillow. You can buy pillows anywhere between 20″ x 70″ to 17″ x 48″ and tons of sizes in between, so it doesn’t matter much other than personal preference.
