2, 4, 6, 8... who do we appreciate? SABACEANBABE (and those are also the questions you need to answer.) TA DA! p.s. Where does the username come from, btw? (I'm in the ask, so I thought I'd actually ask it.) Aaaaaand now I'll stop bugging you. ;) K
2. What was your favorite book growing up?
When I was pretty small, it was the Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. I just loved the animals (which hasn’t changed). When I got older, it was a series of books that I was probably too young to be reading (we’re talking 13) called the Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny.
4. Have you ever thrown a book across the room?
I have not. That might hurt the book.
6. Have you read any writing-advice books?
That’s another thing I haven’t done. I’ve read some writing advice posts here on tumblr, but the closest thing to a writing advice book I’ve had has been a copy of the Writers’ Market from years ago when I worked in a bookstore.
8. What’s the best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten?
The best piece of feedback I ever got was verbal. I was at a Farscape convention and a woman approached me and told me she’d overheard someone calling me SabaceanBabe and that she’d been hoping to run into me at the con when she read on one of the Farscape forums that I’d be there. She introduced herself as Sara Donati and although she’d never commented on any of my Farscape fic, she’d read them all and wanted to let me know that whenever I was ready to make the leap to writing something original for publication, to get in touch with her and she’d hook me up with her agent. It hasn’t happened yet, and I don’t know if she’d even remember me now, it was so long ago, but I’ve never forgotten that.
Aaaand I just realized I forgot to answer the name thing! I first started writing fic with Farscape, which was my first fandom, so that's where the name comes from. It's a tribute to Aeryn Sun.
