Summary: After the revelations at Guan Yin Temple (in YunPing City), it was obvious that Wei WuXian was a victim, wrongly blamed, wrongly ostracized, wrongly ‘hunted’ for things he did not do or had no knowledge of even ‘doing’ it. Guilt and remorse knew no bounds and ‘everyone’ sought to find ways to apologize and/or make amends… But, Wei WuXian was an elusive person who did not like to be at the receiving end of an apology, especially from someone he respected or loved. Everyone was the victim of a skilful manipulation after all…
Kay's comments: Yes, another post-The Untamed ending story for you! This series focusses on the Lans growing closer to Wei Wuxian, first Lan Xichen and then Lan Qiren and of course, it also features Wangxian getting together - as it should be!
Excerpt: “I am… sorry…” Lan XiChen mumbled as he stood up straight, dabbing his bloodshot eyes gently with his broad sleeve, and tried to recover as much dignity as he could. “No,” Wei WuXian was quick to appease the distraught elder of the Twin Jades of Gusu. “If anyone deserves a break down, it is you.” He continued, trying to steer the conversation away from the emotional moment. “I did not hear you. I apologize. You were here? All along? You heard? All of it?” Wei WuXian rambled on.
