And finally on our #Karbie #KARBdashian #RainyDaysAndFriday Church Tour, we went to a mosque. Even after I had eaten the ham for breakfast I didn't buen when I walked in. This mosque serves the one thousand Muslims that live in Yerevan and the thousands of Iranian tourists that visit the city annually. The relationship with Iran is pretty solid in these parts. The Blue Mosque once kept all of the Armenian treasures but those have been moved go another museum so today this is strictly a place of worship. #travelporn #TezHumildePower Yerevan. The Saint Gayane Church also had a fresco painted over the door. This is not typical Armenian as they only display crosses and not icons or frescoes. I'm in complete awe of these ruins. Built in the seventh century this is only one of two known Armenian churches that were built in a circular form. On a clear day, you can see Mount Ararat in the background. But not so on our #Karbie #KARBdashian #RainyDaysAndFriday Church Tour. Regardless, the columns had such detail. The church was so beautiful. There was a representation inside the museum. According to the documents found, and also the statue of an Armenian king holding a church, this is what Zvartnots Cathedral looked like. Standing 120 feet, with five entrances, bathrooms, and standing room only. What a beauty.
